So, on my drive to work this morning, I was listening to Tam Kaur’s “Self Obsessed” podcast, and something she said really stuck with me. It was something along the lines of:
“You learn and grow more from making the wrong decision than from making the right one.”
That hit me. It got me thinking about how fear and failure often go hand in hand.
Fear is that uneasy feeling we get when we’re anticipating something bad or dangerous. It’s that voice in our heads that says, “What if this doesn’t go the way I planned?”
And failure? Well, it’s what we fear. It’s when we don’t hit the mark or meet expectations.
But here’s the thing: failing isn’t the worst thing that can happen to us. What’s worse is never trying again. If we fail but keep going, we’ve got nothing to fear. That’s where the growth happens. But if we let fear take over and stop trying, we stop learning, we stop growing, and we’re left with nothing but regret.
When was the last time fear held you back? What would happen if you gave it another try?
